Staying over in a Hobbit house
Last July (2013) me and my younger sister stayed in a Hobbit house, located in Castricum, The Netherlands.
When I saw this house on the internet a year ago, I knew I wanted to rent it someday because I am a big fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the upcoming hobbit movies.
The hobbit house is located in a camping called Geversduin and it’s the only one in The Netherlands.
I tried to shoot some photo’s that look like they are from the real movie:
I had the idea of this photo in my head for a very long time, and I’m glad it is finished.
I edited it with Photoshop and coloured the text in with a drawing tablet.
This is not the real view.
I thought it would make the view even more interesting by adding a forrest photo from around the area.
My collection of jewelry from the movies.
I drew this map myself.
I tried to draw it a bit the same as the real map of Noord – Holland.
I also used the map/drawing for the beginning of this youtube film:
With many thanks to Caitlin Korremans for editing it !
So cool… The photos are great, and what a neat place. It looks nice and isolated as well, so probably not too many people there.
Thank you!
It’s not too isolated, because it’s located just outside a village.
When we stayed there, other Lord Of The Ring fans were constantly knocking on the door asking of they could take a look inside 😀
So we still saw a lot of people.
Lovely post-processing on the ring photo.
Thanks!
It took a lot of work and time, but I’m happy with the result.
